Green Hornet's Black Beauty
One could argue that one of the coolest cars
on television was the Green Hornet's Black Beauty. Originally built by Dean Jefferies at
an estimated cost of $50,000, the Black Beauty featured groovy gadgets like a crazy device
that spread ice over the road, and brushes behind the rear wheels which, when lowered,
swept away tire tracks. Unfortunately the series didn't last long, but the legend lives
on. Polar Lights' Black Beauty kit is a re-release of the highly collectible Aurora model
kit from the 60s. At 1/32 scale, it's a bit smaller than most car kits, but it builds up
to a smashing replica of this unforgettable car. It's molded in black with clear window
pieces and requires glue and paint for assembly (not included).
