Jenny Sparks: The Secret History of the Authority TPJenny Sparks: The Secret History of the Authority TP

When the United Nations' force known as StormWatch met its untimely end from an alien threat, a new team - the Authority - rose from its ashes, facing threats on a global scale and beyond. But what happened between the death of one team and the birth of another?

The answers are found in JENNY SPARKS: THE SECRET HISTORY OF THE AUTHORITY, a 120-page trade paperback collecting last year's hit miniseries that delved deep into the characters that comprise the most powerful team in the WildStorm Universe. Written by Mark Millar (THE AUTHORITY, Ultimate X-Men) with art and cover by John McCrea (THE MONARCHY, HITMAN) and James Hodgkins (LUCIFER), this trade also includes an introduction by the creator of Jenny Sparks and THE AUTHORITY, Warren Ellis.

THE SECRET HISTORY OF THE AUTHORITY spotlights the long life and times of Authority spearhead and team leader Jenny Sparks, who met her demise in THE AUTHORITY #12. Known as "The Spirit of the Twentieth Century," Jenny is featured in this collection at pivotal points in her history detailing her first meetings with the new team's members. Not so coincidentally, these meetings also correspond to pivotal points in 20th-century history.

Jenny's time-tripping adventures include: her encounter with an 80s government covert-op who introduces her to Apollo and The Midnighter; working with a young alien abductee to defend against an invasion force of sentient cities from the future; stealing a mystical artifact from the Nazis during the 40s; and crossing the Bleed to Sliding Albion for an alternate- reality wedding.

JENNY SPARKS: THE SECRET HISTORY OF THE AUTHORITY is a 120-page WildStorm Productions trade paperback.
