The
Golden Age Starman
Archives Vol 1
In the pages of STARMAN and the JSA,
readers have learned a great deal about Ted Knight, the first of many heroes to be known
by the name of Starman. Now the earliest of his legendary Golden Age adventures - many of
them never-before reprinted - can be found in STARMAN ARCHIVES Volume 1.
Reprinting Starman's exploits from ADVENTURE COMICS #61-76 (written by
Gardner Fox with power-packed art by Jack Burnley), this handsome hardcover includes Ted
Knight's origin and early battles, as our hero uses his incredible Cosmic Rod against an
array of enemies that includes the ghostly villain known as the Mist (whose daughter has
recently returned to vex Ted's son, Jack Knight, in STARMAN). In addition
to these seminal stories, this striking volume includes the Golden Age issues' original
covers, some by Burnley and others by the team responsible for the best exploits of
Starman's JSA teammate, the Golden Age Sandman: Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. STARMAN ARCHIVES
Volume 1 is a 224-page hardcover book
